Professor Pedro Jesús Villanueva Ramírez is a Civil Engineer, ESIA, Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN). CAD Specialist, Arturo Rosenblueth Foundation. Master's Degree in Architecture, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).

Since 1991 he has been a Professor in the Department of Technology and Production at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Xochimilco Campus, of which he was head from 2007 to 2011. He has participated in national and international conferences, and authored and co-authored several research and divulgation articles related to the teaching and application of computational technologies focused on parametric and generative architectural CAD, digital simulation for structural analysis, and design and for the study of energy efficiency (bioclimatic architecture).

He is responsible for the virtual laboratory of infographic simulation and materialization for design (LAVSIMAD) in which prototypes are developed, mainly related to emerging temporary structures. In 2019 he obtained the teaching award.

He currently teaches the technology support (subjects) (structural analysis and design, construction, building installations, energy efficiency and bioclimatic architecture) and the design workshop in the basic core of the degree in Architecture. He collaborates and is responsible for the research project: Integral design in architecture through computational technologies. A methodological proposal for the architecture degree at UAM Xochimilco Campus.
