Doctor Martha Araceli Zanabria Salcedo is a Professor and Researcher at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Xochimilco Campus, where she studied a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Neurological Rehabilitation, and a Doctorate in Biological Sciences. Her lines of research in which she develops her work are: Rights of vulnerable children and youth; Forms of institutional care of children and youth in alternative care; Exit from alternative care institutions.
Among her research projects are: Childhood and home: The situation of children under state guardianship from a welfare measure of internment. Inscribed in two research areas: a) Multireferential Studies on Violence, Ethics, Culture, and Education; b) Subjectivity and Social Processes. And Public Policies for the protection of early childhood. Inscribed in the research area: Multireferential Studies on Violence, Ethics, Culture, and Education.

She has received the 2019 Teaching Award, Department of Education and Communication, UAM Xochimilco Campus and was awarded 2nd Place in the "Dr. Ramón Villarreal" 2019 Award for the best experience of Social Service. As an advisor in the modality: Research.
She is a member of the Programa Infancia UAM Xochimilco Campus; Associate member of the Organization Aldeas Infantiles SOS Mexico; member of the Red por los derechos de niñas, niños y adolescentes a vivir en familia y participar en Comunidad. RENAVIF and Member of the Advisory Team of the civil organization Retorno a la Esperanza.
