Professor Juana Cecilia Ángeles Cañedo has a degree in Architecture from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus and is in the process of completing postgraduate studies in Contemporary Art in Mexico. She is a Research Professor at UAM Azcapotzalco Campus with academic experience since 1996.

In the academic field, she has taught the subjects of theory and history of architecture and has coordinated architectural design workshops, focusing on teaching and design pedagogy from projects linked to social communities. Her research activity has focused on issues related to urban problems and the impact of art in public space. Also in projects and themes of innovation and the creative process from design and teaching-learning environments in the classroom.

She also has a long career in various academic management positions in the Azcapotzalco Campus: Academic Secretary in the Division of Sciences and Arts for Design, Coordinator of Management Control of the Secretariat of the Unit, Coordinator of Liaison, and Head of the Department of Research and Knowledge, currently as Head of the Area of Habitat and Design.
