Profile
Professor Lillian Von Der Walde Moheno holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic Literature from El Colegio de México, and is a Professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Iztapalapa Campus, where she teaches courses and directs theses in the undergraduate program in Hispanic Literature and in the Master's and Ph.D. programs in Humanities, Literature (Medieval, Golden and Hispanic American Philology from the 16th to the 18th centuries).
Since 1989 she has co-directed the journal Medievalia, and has been the editor of other academic journals; she is also a member of several editorial boards in Mexico and abroad (Spain, United States, and Brazil).
At the UAM she is Head of the academic project Rhetoric applied to Literature; she is also Corresponsible for the Fondo Ruiz de Alarcón y el Teatro de su Tiempo, collection and research center. Since 2017 she has been Honorary President of the International Association of Spanish and Novohispanic Theater of the Golden Age (AITENSO).
Among her publications are 89 academic articles or chapters, 19 reviews, and 35 books: six of her own and 29 as editor. She has participated in 138 academic congresses; she has also given 45 keynote lectures and has been a member of the Organizing Committee of 22 international congresses.
She has been a guest Professor at several universities in Mexico and abroad. She is a member of the National System of Researchers of the National Council of Science and Technology (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología). She has received PRODEP recognition as a professor with a "desirable profile". She has received recognition as a student and as a professional (academic production); she was the subject of a tribute in 2014.
Her main lines of research are Medieval Literature, the theater of the Golden Age, and rhetoric applied to literary analysis. One of her books, Love and Legality. "Grisel y Mirabella", by Juan de Flores_, has more than 100 academic citations.
