Professor David Chacón Hernández received his law degree from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), Azcapotzalco Campus; he completed postgraduate studies in Social Law at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) where he obtained his law degree in 2005. He also completed Doctoral studies in "Human Rights, current problems" at the University of Valencia, Spain. He has done other studies, such as Didactics for Teacher Training, also at UNAM to understand the work of the teacher and thus better prepare to understand the problems of the teaching-learning process.
He has been teaching for more than 30 years, mainly at UAM. He has also been invited to teach Master's and postgraduate courses at other institutions of higher education, such as the National Institute of Criminal Sciences, from where he has taught postgraduate courses at institutions such as the University of Zacatecas, the University of Veracruz Villa Rica, the Universidad Iberoamericana, León Campus, the Universidad de Guanajuato, the Universidad de Veracruz Villa Rica, and the Universidad Iberoamericana, León Campus, Guanajuato, postgraduate teaching in the then Attorney General's Office of the Republic, the Attorney General's Office of Oaxaca, the Attorney General's Office of Zacatecas, the Human Rights Commission of the State of Guerrero, the Postgraduate Institute of Law, the National Center for Legal Research.
Professor Chacón has participated as a teacher in training workshops for substantive personnel on various Human Rights topics in several public institutions, mainly in the Attorney General's Office, now Prosecutor's Offices.
He has given multiple conferences in various institutions of higher education and government agencies and has been a speaker at national and international events on various legal topics. He has also participated in working groups to create postgraduate study plans.
Regarding research, he has published books, book chapters, and articles on legal topics, especially on human rights, indigenous rights, and peasent rights.
