Profile
Professor Marcela Hurtado Y De La Peña studied for a Bachelor's Degree in Q.F.B. University of Guadalajara (1981), a Master's Degree in Pharmacy (Biopharmacy Option)Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) (1991) and training in affinity chromatography, UNAM (2008- 2012).
In her research contributions, she has participated in the investigation of the clinical pharmacokinetics of albendazole and its use in Neurocysticercosis, National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery.
She has participated in the development of dissolution tests in the USP 4 apparatus; she is currently participating in the development of Biomaterials to evaluate drug bio-interactions.
Among her distinctions stand out the First place of the research presented at the IV Annual Research Meeting of the National Institute of Neuorology and Neurosurgery in 1989. Third place for research presented at the V Annual Research Meeting of the National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery in 1990. First place in clinical research presented at the V Annual Research Meeting of the National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery in 1990. Honorable Mention in the 1998 CANIFARMA AWARD competition as a collaborator in the work. "Biopharmaceutical and Pharmacokinetic Evaluation of drugs used in the treatment of neurocysticercosis".
