Professor Reyna Carmen Fierro Pastrana received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the Faculty of Sciences of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Ph.D. in Biological and Medical Engineering at the Henri Poincaré University of Nancy, France. The title of her thesis is: "Study of the molecular architecture of the plasma membrane and acrosomal membranes of human sperm. Their modifications during capacitation and acrosomal reaction".
She was the coordinator of the Ph.D. in Biological and Health Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) from 2007 to 2011. She has taught courses at undergraduate and graduate levels on: Cell Biology, Cell Structure, and Function, Sperm Morphophysiology, Sperm Study Techniques, and Introduction to Research.
