Professor Rosa María Espinosa Valdemar holds a B.S. in Biology from CINVESTAV, Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), a M.S. in Ecology and Environmental Sciences from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from the Instituto de Ingeniería of the UABC.

She is currently a Full-Time Professor at the Energy Department of the Basic Sciences and Engineering Division of the Azcapotzalco Campus of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM).
