Professor Hugo Sánchez Soriano is a Full-Time Professor at the Department of Chemistry of the Basic Sciences and Engineering Division of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Iztapalapa Campus.
He studied Industrial Chemistry at the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. He obtained his Ph.D. degree at UAM (1996) and has done several research stays: at the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble, France (1992 -1995) and at the Center for Research and Technological Development in Electrochemistry, Querétaro, Mexico (1998).
