Professor Salvador Tonatiuh Porras Duarte holds a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Technology Sydney, Australia (UTS). At Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Iztapalapa Campus he is a Professor in the Department of Economics where he serves as Head of the Research Area of Organizational Studies and has been coordinator of studies in the Bachelor's Degree in Management.

Member of IFSAM (International Federation of Schools and Academies of Management) of which he was president for the period 2016-2017; of APROS (Asia Pacific Researchers in Organisation Studies), and of the Academy of Management. He has participated in international congresses in Australia, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, USA, China, New Zealand, Mexico, Argentina, Spain among others.

He has been a visiting Professor in France. He has served on the Editorial Board of Society and Business Review, on the Scientific Committee of Management International, on the Editorial Board of Management Communication Quarterly and currently serves on the editorial board of the Revista Administración y Organizaciones.

He has published several articles related to his line of research, which focuses on the study of organizational networks, collaborative processes, information technologies and clusters.
