Profile

Doctor Gabriela Dutrénit is a Professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), Xochimilco Campus, and coordinator of the postgraduate program in Economics, Management, and Innovation Policies at this institution. Ph.D. in Economics of Innovation from the Science Policy Research Unit of the University of Sussex (England), a Master's degree in Economics from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Havana (Cuba).

She is a member of the National System of Researchers, Level III. She was General Coordinator of the Scientific and Technological Consultative Forum AC, during 2012 to 2014. She is a regular member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences (AMC) and Distinguished Professor at UAM.

She is President of the LALICS network (Latinamerican Network for Economics of Learning, Innovation and Competence Building Systems). She has specialized in studies on academy-industry linkages, technological learning processes, and the construction of technological capabilities in companies, innovation systems, and science, technology, and innovation policies for development.
