Profile

Professor Ricardo Campos Verduzco is a biologist from the Faculty of Sciences of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), with a Master's degree in Environmental Impact Assessment from the Institute of Ecological Research of Malaga, Spain.

Head of the Tezontepec de Aldama Fish Farm and Head of the Aquaculture Office, SEPESCA, State of Hidalgo, Head of the Aquaculture Office, Federal Subdelegate (SEPESCA), and State Technical Subdirector of Fisheries in the State of Mexico (Secretariat of Economic Development). Area Director, Aquaculture, Instituto Mexicano de Investigaciones Tecnológicas, A.C. Bank of Mexico. Environmental and Aquaculture Expert by the College of Biologists of Mexico, A.C. Coordinator of Certification and Professional Revalidation by the College of Biologists of Mexico, A.C.

Co-author of four books and four tutorials for the cultivation of non-conventional species (Red-tailed Lobster, Corvina, and Horse Mackerel), as well as new technologies for aquaculture production (Tilapia Genome Bank), Co-author of book chapters on the application of geographic information systems and remote sensing in wildlife management and characterization of nesting beaches for sea turtles. Co-author of articles in the Revista Latinoamericana de Acu8icultura, Acuavisión, Hidrobiológica y Biología Tropical.

He has participated in advisory groups for elaborating NOM's in aquaculture management and health. Once regional and twice national jury in the Young Science Contest and Member of the Editorial Committee of the PAINANI Journal of the UAM.
