Dr. Miguel Alvarez Texocotitla is a distinguished academic and researcher with a robust career spanning over 40 years of experience in academia and the public sector in Mexico. He holds a Doctorate in Social Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), a Master's Degree in Economics from the New School for Social Research in New York, and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana.

In his current role as Full Professor and Researcher at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Unidad Iztapalapa, Dr. Alvarez Texocotitla has demonstrated a continuous commitment to academic excellence. Since 1990, he has served as a Full-Time Professor and Researcher, significantly contributing to the development of educational programs in Economics, Administration, Sociology, Political Science, and other related fields.

Throughout his career, Dr. Alvarez Texocotitla has delivered over 200 courses and seminars in undergraduate programs, leaving a significant impact on the education of new generations of professionals across various disciplines. His active involvement in committees and research area leadership showcases his dedication to academic management and the promotion of interdisciplinary knowledge.

Dr. Alvarez Texocotitla's notable contribution to advancing knowledge is evident in his extensive academic output, with over forty publications in indexed journals and academic books, solidifying his reputation as a renowned researcher in the national academic sphere. His current research project focuses on topics of great significance such as Public Debt, Economic-Financial Crises, and Economic Development.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Alvarez Texocotitla's research interests extend beyond the realm of economic issues. He has actively participated in a wide range of projects and publications addressing diverse topics including electoral processes, migration, methodological issues in social sciences, and the implementation of mathematical and statistical methods, among others.
