Profile

Dr. María Guadalupe Staines Orozco studied a bachelor's degree as a dental surgeon at the Xochimilco Campus of the Universidad Autonóma Metropolitanan. Just graduated, she joined as a researcher assistant in the Research Area State and Health Services in 1984.

In 2010 he graduated with an honorary mention of the Master in Didactics and Historical Consciousness from the Autonomous University of Mexico City. In 2018, he graduated with an honorary award of the Doctorate in Education from Intercontinental University.

After some years dedicated to public administration coordinating medical and health promotion areas, in 2008, he competed for an academic place in UAM Xochimilco Campus. She was incorporated into the State Research and Health Services area.

Participate in two research projects by ensuring multidiscipline within the two groups: evaluation of the processes for the control of cross infections in stomatological practice, in Stomatology students of UAM, Xochimilco Campus, and factors associated with non-adherence to antiretroviral treatment In people with HIV/AIDS

She has also conducted studies oriented to epidemiological research of oral diseases with greater prevalence in Mexico (dental caries, gingivitis) for his formation as a dentist and his interest in epidemiology. Also, studies on oral hygiene habits; in populations of preschoolers, schoolchildren, adolescents, and young adults (of recently entered the upper level).

Communicates the results of investigations in national and foreign congresses, publishes in various indexed national and foreign magazines and has published book chapters. She has participated in editorial committees, different teaching and research commissions, and coordinated the publication of collective books.
