Profile
Professor Ana Rosa Lopez Ferrari has a Master degree in Sciences, Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Profesor at the Biology Departament at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Iztapalapa Campus; where she has worked for 35 years.
Botany with a main line of research is Taxonomy and Systematics. For more than 25 years, she has dedicated herself to studying Mexican monocotyledons and currently developing research projects about the Bromeliads of Mexico and Epiphytic Vascular Plants of the country. Professor López Ferrari has published the results of her work in specialized, refereed, and indexed journals or books and has participated in national and international academic forums.
She is a Member of tutorial committees for undergraduate and graduate students; she has collaborated in divisional and sponsored research projects and some other projects with foreign colleagues, with inter-institutional financing, and is head of Herbario Metropolitano Ramón Riba y Nava Esparza, a divisional scientific collection of the UAM, at Iztapalapa Campus.
