Profile
Professor Álvaro Lorenzo Salas Brito studied his bachelor´s, master´s and Ph.D at the Faculty of Sciences at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) . The doctorate concluded in 1990 with the work on the atoms in ultra -intense magnetic fields. His thesis was titled "A Hydrogen atom in a super strong magnetic field, a model admitting a super selection rule" under the direction of Professor Carmen Cisneros Gudiño of the Collision Laboratory of the Institute of Physics of UNAM.
After obtaining his doctorate, he conducted research and teaching in the Basic Science Department of the Azcapotzalco campus, at the UNAM Faculty of Sciences, at San Diego State University, in the US, and at the Institute of Nuclear Sciences of UNAM.
He has published 94 articles in specialized magazines with approximately 1470 appointments to his work. His teaching work goes from the most basic as elementary thermodynamics to advanced undergraduate courses on electrodynamics and quantum theory.
