Professor Fausto Eduardo Rodríguez Manzo is an architect with a master's and a doctorate in design, in the study of bioclimatic architecture with a specialty in acoustic comfort, by the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus.

He has been a research professor in the Department of Production Processes and Techniques of the Azcapotzalco Campus since 1983. As a teacher, he has directed architectural and urban design courses and has integrated into the architecture curriculum since 2005 the elective courses: space, sound, and architecture; Acoustics and noise control in buildings; Noise and city; In addition to the course dialogues with music (course of classical music sensitivity), the last one that is taught to students in the design and engineering areas.

He is the author of articles specializing in the acoustics of enclosures, environmental noise, and sound landscape. Coauthor of the book ¨Introducción a la Arquitectura Bioclimática¨, published in 1998 by the Limusa Noriega / UAM publishing house Azcapotzalco Campus (last edition 2002). Author of the book ¨Espacio, sonido y arquitectura¨, published in 2013 by the Limusa publishing house, and the book published in 2017 by the Azcapotzalco Campus.

He has participated as a speaker in congresses specialized in architectural and urban acoustics, as well as urbanism, national and international.

Creator and coordinator of the Laboratory of Analysis and Acoustic Design of the UAM Azcapotzalco Campus, since 2007, where research and projects for professional linkage with companies and government institutions are carried out, such as the case of the project First noise map and implementation of the network of Monitoring for the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico that the Azcapotzalco Campus has carried out in connection with the Ministry of the Environment of the Government of the Federal District between 2009 and 2011. He is a member of the Ibero-American Research Network in Acoustic Engineering.

As a professional, he has developed as an architect and consultant specializing in Architectural and Urban Acoustics: in the acoustic design of auditoriums and concert halls, distinguishing within the latter the Mateo Herrera Auditorium for chamber music of the Forum Cultural Guanajuato in León, Guanajuato (2007); as well as the design of the K-001 Auditorium of the Design Division, of the UAM Azcapotzalco Campus (2010).

In university and academic management, he has been a coordinator of the Bachelor of Architecture of the Azcapotzalco Campus (2000); Head of the Department of Process Research and Realization Techniques from 2006 until 2010; Coordinator of the Group and Laboratory of Analysis and Acoustic Design (LABAC) from 2011 to 2018, and since November 2018 Head of the Analysis and Acoustic Design Research, where the project environmental noise in the urban space of the Mexico City: Problems and solution models, is developed; with funds granted by the National Council of Science and Technology - Basic Science (CONACYT).

He is the coordinator of the international environmental noise meetings and sound landscape in Mexico City, in 2016 and 2018, with participants from Mexico, Spain, Chile, Brazil, and Ecuador.
