Professor Gilberto Octavio Sandoval Fregoso is a surgeon for the Faculty of Medicine at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), 1979. Teacher in Science (Biology), Faculty of Sciences, (UNAM), 1983. Professor at the Department of Health Care, Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Unit Xochimilco. He has been a professor in histology at the Faculty of Medicine at the UNAM 1973-1979 and the Modules of Knowledge and Society, 41 Trimesters, (1984-2019), Fundamental Cellular Processes, 27 quarters, (1984-2018), Energy and consumption of fundamental substances, 17 quarters, (1983-2020) at the UAM Campus Xochimilco and the Postgraduate Module, University Teaching at UNPRG, Peru, 1997.

Professor Gilberto has 22 published works and 132 participations in specialized events. He was the coordinator of the UAM Interdivisional Trunk at the Xochimilco Campus from April 16, 2018 to October 15, 2019. Among his highlights are the annual prize to the 1998 Research Areas, UAM-X, 1998, Project benefited by Agreement 12 of the General Rector: contributions to the art of pedagogy and epistemology in higher education, at the UAM Unit in Xochimilco, 2007.
