Profile

Professor Juan Manuel Everardo Carballo Cruz is a Ph.D. candidate in Architecture, from the Faculty of Architecture, at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma Metropolitana (UNAM); Master´s in Architecture, 2008, Faculty of Architecture, UNAM; Architect Engineer, 1975, School of Engineering and Architecture, Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN).

He has been a researcher professor at the Division of Sciences and Arts for Design at the UAM Xochimilco Campus since 1981; he was Director of that division from 2007 to 2011 and head of the Department of Technology and Production from 2005 to 2007 in the UAM Xochimilco Campus.

From the year 1976 to 1984, the Technical Services Department at the Prevention and Social Rehabilitation Direction of the Ministry of the Interior, coordinated the Project and Construction National Program of new centers for social rehabilitation for the States of the republic, Single Coordination Agreement ( CUCs) between the federation and the states, developing the project and building of 24 CeReSo for the states of:
Baja California, Baja California Sur, Campeche, Chihuahua, Colima, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Oaxaca, Puebla, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Querétaro, Quintana Roo and Yucatán. Coordination of the “Humanization of spaces Program for Guardianship Councils and Treatment Schools for Minor Offenders” for the states of Baja California Sur, Jalisco, and Mexico City.
