Dr. María Berenice Guadalupe Quintana Díaz holds a Ph.D. in Education from the Instituto de Estudios Universitarios, as well as a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM). Her teaching activities support the Chemical Engineering degree program as well as core courses for Mechanical, Physics, and Environmental Engineering. She serves as a member of the 2026–2028 Academic Resources Evaluation Committee and the Editorial Board at UAM Azcapotzalco. She holds the PRODEP Desirable Profile distinction.

She serves as a Full-Time Professor (Level C) in the Department of Energy within the Division of Basic Sciences and Engineering at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Unidad Azcapotzalco.

Her research focuses on biofuel production, soil and water bioremediation, atmospheric pollutant dynamics, and higher education policy in Mexico.
