Professor Tessy María López Goerne is a Full-Time Professor at the Department of Health Care of the Division of Biological and Health Sciences at the Xochimilco Campus of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM).

Professor López Goerne is one of the most recognized Mexican scientists, her specialty is Catalytic Nanomedicine in which she constantly seeks to contribute novelties to medical research in order to provide benefits to society. She has a Bachelor's degree in Physical Chemistry, a Master's degree in Solid State and a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the Iztapalapa Campus of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM).
