Profile
Professor Ulises Sinhué Alejandro Caldiño García has a Bachelor in Physics (1978-1982), a Master´s in Physics (1982-1984) and his Doctorate in Sciences (1985-1990) was completed at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Iztapalapa Campus.
His research lines on Optical spectroscopy of luminescent solid materials that can be used as optical converters from UV to visible radiation, as laser sources or as white light emission phosphors have been carried out under his direction with researcher groups of the Universidad de Sonora, Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México, Università di Verona (Italy), CNR-Firenze (Italy) and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
His research lines have generated relevant works containing 123 indexed-research articles published in international journals with strict arbitration, with 1790 bibliographic citations type A and a h-index = 24, plus a national patent no. 350343 (Process for depositing photoluminescent coatings on black clay substrates).
He has contributed to the formation of groups of researchers currently established at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México and Universidad de Sonora.
He has coordinated four basic scientific research projects funded by CONACYT and four Mexico-Italy bilateral cooperation projects funded by CONACYT (Mexico) and CNR (Italy).
