Profile
Professor Humberto González Márquez studied a bachelor's degree in Biology with an area of concentration in Experimental Biology from 1977 to 1981. That same year he started teaching, especially the Laboratory of Biochemistry I and II, which was called Molecular Biology. He completed a master's degree in Experimental Biology from 1988 to 1991 and a doctorate in Biochemistry at Henri Poincaré University in Nancy, France, from 1992 to 1997.
With the results, two articles were published:
1997 González-Márquez H, Perrin, C., Bracquart, P., Guimont, C., Linden, G. A family of 16 kDa proteins overexpressed by Streptococcus thermophilus PB18 Microbiology, 143: 1587-1594.
2000 Perrin C., González-Márquez H., Gaillard J., Bracquart P., and Guimont. C. Reference map of soluble Streptococcus thermophilus proteins by two-dimensional electrophoresis. Electrophoresis 21 (5): 949-55.
He was the first coordinator of the Degree in Experimental Biology from 1985 to 1988. Also, coordinator of the Doctoral Programme in Biological and Health Sciences, from 2015-2019
Since 1998, he has taught Biochemistry I and III, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biochemistry and Microbial Physiology, Proteomics and Instrumental Methods for Bachelor and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology II and Protein Purification in master's degree.
