Professor Delia Patricia Couturier Bañuelos has a Bachelor's in Administration, a Master's in Rural Development, and Doctorate in Social Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM). She is the winner of the University Merit Medal. She has a recognition by the National Academy of Women of The Mexican Society of Geography and Statistics as Master Emerita of Mexico.

She has an acknowledgment for her career and participation in activities for 33 years at the UAM. Coordinator of the Bachelor of Administration served as coordinator of Planning and Academic Development (CLADA) of the UAM Xochimilco Campus.

The area of ​​research to which she belongs received the annual prize of research areas, granted by the UAM in 1996, 1998, 2000, and 2001.
