Profile
Professor Lidia Georgina Jiménez Lara has a degree in Physics and Mathematics from the ESFM of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN). She has a Master´s in Science in the ESFM of the IPN, Mexico and a Doctorate in Science at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Iztapalapa Campus, Mexico.
Her topics of interest are classical mechanics and integrable and non-integrable systems. Her research includes periodic orbits in non-integrated mechanical systems, asymmetric rigid body and integrable systems, the problem of 3 bodies, symmetry lines, Newtonian mechanics, Lagrangian mechanics, Hamiltonian systems, chaos, and classical mechanics.
Other topics of interest are the analysis of symmetries of involution, including reversibility, applied to the calculation of isolated periodic solutions, regardless of their stability, through the lines or regions of symmetry in cross-sections. Aerospace dynamics, calculation of trajectories by heteroclinic transport. Dynamics of integrable and quasi-integrable systems. Dynamics of asymmetric rigid body and its classification.
