Profile
Professor Violeta Múgica Álvarez holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering and a Ph.D. in Engineering from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She is currently a Full-Time Professor at the Basic Sciences Department of the Basic Sciences and Engineering Division of the Azcapotzalco Campus of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM). In this same Campus, she has been Coordinator of the Academic Support and Development Commission from 1989 to 1993, Research Coordinator of the CBI Division from 1996 to 2000 and Head of the Applied Chemistry Area from 2003 to 2008.
