Professor Margarita Viniegra Ramírez is a Full-Time Professor at the Department of Chemistry of the Division of Basic Sciences and Engineering of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Iztapalapa Campus.

She studied at the UAM Iztapalapa Campus for her bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees, as well as a postdoctorate at the Institute of Physics of the Universidad Nacional AUtónoma de México (UNAM). She received the Teaching Award granted by the UAM Iztapalapa Campus in 2010.
