Professor María de los Ángeles Martínez Cárdenas is a Full Time Professor at the Health Care Department of the Biological and Health Sciences Division at the Xochimilco Campus of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM).

He completed his undergraduate degree in Stomatology at the Xochimilco Campus of UAM (1980) and a master's degree in Lifelong Learning at the International Center for Prospective Higher Education (CIPAE, 2011). She specialized in Orthodontics at the Centro de Estudios Avanzados en Ortodoncia, A. C. (1987-1989). She has been Head of the Research Area Status and Services of the Department of Health Care (2017 - 2019); she was Coordinator of the Social Service of the Division of Biological and Health Sciences (2010-2015), as well as Project Manager of the Design and Testing laboratory in the Stomatology Clinics of the Xochimilco Campus of the UAM in San Lorenzo Atemoaya and Tepepan. Head of the Health Care Department from 2019 to 2023.
