Professor Alejandro Montes de Oca Villatoro was born in September 1953 in Mexico City. He studied the Bachelor of Psychology at the Universidad Iberoamericana and was formed as a psychoanalyst in the Mexican psychoanalytic circle. He has a doctorate in Social Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Xochimilco Campus, with a theorist to understand literary writing experience from psychoanalysis.

In 1977 he entered the UAM as a professor. He has coordinated seminars at the Dr. Armando Suárez Training Institute of the Mexican Psychoanalytic Circle as well as at Universidad Anáhuac and taught postgraduate courses at the Intercontinental University and the College of Lacanian Psychoanalysis.

He is the author of three books as an individual author and has participated in four others as a co-author. He has also published various research articles in specialized magazines, in literature, and in psychoanalysis.
