Profile

Dr María Elena Sánchez Azuara is a Professor in the Department of Sociology in the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities at the Iztapalapa Campus of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana. She has shown a solid commitment to teaching, research, and practice in social psychology and psychoanalysis as a professor.

She has coordinated the Diploma in Psychoanalytic Group Intervention and the Diploma in Classical Psychodrama, programs that have enriched the training of professionals in these fields.

Dr María Elena Sánchez Azuara has also participated actively in national and international congresses, colloquia, workshops, and meetings, contributing to the exchange of knowledge and the development of academic networks.

Her influence is reflected in a series of publications on relevant topics in social psychology and psychoanalysis. Her books have been essential sources of information and reflection for students and academics interested in understanding group phenomena, emotions, and stress in contemporary society.

In addition, her involvement in intervention programs and the organization of events related to the INFANCIA program demonstrate her commitment to the well-being and development of the community.
