Professor Ricardo Manuel Falomir Parker is a Full-Time Professor at the Department of Anthropology of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Iztapalapa Campus since 1978.

He has received several distinctions among which stand out:

The 1998 Teaching Award, granted by the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities, UAM Iztapalapa Campus.
The CIS-INAH Scholarship (now CIESAS) to write his undergraduate thesis (June 1974 to July 1975).
CONACYT Scholarship for postgraduate studies at the University of Manchester, England (October 1975 to September 1977).
Scholarship from the Ford Foundation, Mexico, to cover the credits of the doctoral program at the University of Manchester, England (October 1977 to March 1978).
Teaching Scholarship awarded by UAM.
