Profile

Dr. Carlos Ricardo Aguilar Astorga is a full time Research Professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Lerma Campus. He holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences in Power Relations and Political Culture, a Master's Degree in Public Policy, and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Policy and Management from the Xochimilco Campus of the UAM.

He has written about twenty articles on topics such as state theory, design, implementation and evaluation of public policies, mainly. He coordinated the books "Intercambio Político una forma de indagar las relaciones de poder entre sociedad y gobierno" and together with Dr. Pilar Berrios, the book: "Derechos y políticas. Desafíos políticos e institucionales en Mexico" both published by Juan Pablos Editores and UAM Lerma Campus.

His last two books are: "Políticas Públicas con enfoque de derechos (2022)" and "Intercambio Político. Un concepto a revisión (2021)", General Coordinator of the National Academy of Evaluators of Mexico Aceval AC for the period 2021/2023.

He has been an academic member of the Monitoring and Evaluation Committee of the Human Rights Program of Mexico City. Since 2018, he is also an active member of the National Academy of Evaluators of Mexico AC.

Professor - Researcher belonging to the Area of research in: "Public policies, economy, society and territory" and attached to the Department of Social Processes of the UAM Lerma Campus. He also belongs to the Human Rights and Planning Network of the UAM.
