Professor Rodrigo Rosales González was initially hired at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus; he changed his assignment definitively in 2017 to the Department of Arts and Humanities of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Lerma Campus after teaching classes and modules since 2016, as well as participating in EAD terminal project exhibitions. He holds a degree in Communication Sciences from the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences (FCPS) at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), with the thesis "Internet and communication: proposal of electronic page for students of the SUA of the FCPS at UNAM." Master in Sciences and Arts for Design (2003-2005) by UAM, Xochimilco Campus, with the thesis "Design and diffusion. Systemic model of research communication and its relationship with ICT's in the Division of Sciences and Arts for Design at the Xochimilco Campus." Ph.D. in Political and Social Sciences with orientation in Communication Sciences (2010-2014) at the FCPS of the UNAM, with the thesis "Scientific dissemination on the Internet: systemic image of urban solid waste management in Mexico City."

He has professional experience for over a decade in the field of visual communication and industrial design in various companies in the country belonging to the private sector. He has developed research projects related to information visualization, scientific dissemination, and digital culture.

His lines of research are visualization in sociocomplexity and praxis as a form of appropriation of knowledge derived from the symbiosis between art, design, science, and technology.

She has published nine book chapters, and seven research articles; he has been a speaker at 30 specialized academic events. He has participated in the organization of 5 exhibitions and four academic events. His undergraduate teaching experience is 13 years; he has directed one master's thesis and co-directed two more. He was a SNI candidate from 2016 to 2018 and has been a Desirable PRODEP Profile since 2008. He has obtained PRODEP funding to develop projects on three occasions on topics related to the praxis of design and art.
